About Baker's Drive-Thru

Baker’s Drive-Thru, located at 529 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, CA 92223, is a well-established fast-food restaurant that has been serving the Inland Empire community since its founding in 1952. The business was started by Neal T. Baker in San Bernardino, California, inspired by the success of early fast-food pioneers like McDonald’s. Neal Baker’s innovative spirit led to the creation of the “Twin Kitchen” concept by 1955, which uniquely combined American and Mexican cuisine under one roof, offering customers a diverse menu that includes burgers, tacos, burritos, and breakfast options. This dual-menu approach set Baker’s Drive-Thru apart from other fast-food chains and has been a cornerstone of its enduring popularity[1][3][5].

Baker’s Drive-Thru has grown from a single hamburger stand into a regional chain with multiple locations, maintaining a strong presence in the Inland Empire area. The restaurant is known for its fast, friendly service and its commitment to providing great food at great value. The menu features classic American fast-food staples such as hamburgers and breakfast items alongside Mexican favorites like tacos and burritos, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. This blend of cuisines makes it a popular choice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, appealing to families, commuters, and local residents alike[1][2][5].

The Beaumont location continues this tradition, offering a convenient drive-thru service as well as seating for those who prefer to dine in. Open until 11:00 PM daily, it provides a flexible dining option for early risers and late-night diners. The restaurant also offers catering services, making it a versatile choice for events and gatherings. Accessibility features such as wheelchair access ensure that Baker’s Drive-Thru is welcoming to all customers[2].

Baker’s Drive-Thru remains a family-owned business, with the Baker family continuing to oversee operations and uphold the founder’s vision. Despite some legal challenges in recent years, the company has maintained its focus on quality and customer satisfaction. The legacy of Neal T. Baker, who was a contemporary and friend of other fast-food pioneers like Glen Bell of Taco Bell, lives on through the chain’s commitment to innovation and community service[1][3].

For those looking to enjoy a quick, satisfying meal that combines the best of American and Mexican fast food, Baker’s Drive-Thru in Beaumont offers a reliable and flavorful option. Whether you’re craving a hearty breakfast burrito, a classic cheeseburger, or a fresh taco, this restaurant delivers consistent quality and value. Customers can reach the Beaumont location by phone at +1 909-906-3610 for inquiries or catering orders, ensuring a seamless and convenient dining experience[2].

In summary, Baker’s Drive-Thru stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of fast, flavorful food served with a personal touch. Its unique Twin Kitchen concept, rich history, and dedication to the Inland Empire community make it a beloved dining destination for those seeking both American and Mexican fast-food favorites in a friendly, accessible environment.

I grew up eating Baker’s, and it was hands-down my favorite fast-food restaurant. ❤️ After moving away, I recently drove through a town that had a Baker’s, and I was so excited to stop and eat there. Unfortunately, it was nothing like I remembered. After doing some research, I learned that after the founder passed away—and later his wife, who continued running the business—the family reportedly made changes to cut costs. The food just isn’t the same quality it used to be. Not only was the food disappointing, but the restaurant itself felt run down. It honestly broke my heart because I have so many great memories of eating there growing up. Sadly, I won’t be going back.

Loved this place for years and other than changing their awesome Cheese Burrito to the not as good Quesadilla it's still awesome!! Im pretty sure the franchise was responsible though! The employees are always awesome as well!!!!

Absolutely disgusted! There was a hair in my burger, I unwrapped it, broke off a piece for my child and as always, I looked down before and saw a 2 inch thick black strand of hair embedded into the patty. I immediately took it to the frying counter and the gentleman said “that’s gross” apologized had me give him the piece with the hair and had me toss the rest. They remade the burger but I was disgusted and disappointed in the service, cleanliness and quality. At the time of my visit, the kitchen area definitely could use some cleaning. This location definitely needs work.

I ordered a single baker and two tacos. Both taco shells were very stale and they tasted awful. The burger patty is literally thinner than McDonalds cheese burger patty. I used to always like coming here and didn't mind spending a little extra for better quality but now I will have better luck next door at McDonald's unfortunately.

I haven't been to Bakers in many years after moving out of state. I was kind of sad they changed up the menu & jacked the prices way up. The quality & value back in the day was second to known. My recent visits have been good though, service was great, & the first bite of the ground beef burrito & double baker cheese burger instantly took me back in time. I will definitely be going back a few more times to get my Bakers fix before leaving California.
